Description
The incumbent will work with the Formal Schools ?? Program Design Team on the overall research, planning, review, planning, development and revision of TCF??s Urdu curricula (including teaching and learning materials and curricula documents, such as an Urdu language framework). (s)He will work on developing a language framework that accounts for Urdu as the medium of instruction in TCF??s formal schools, and collaborate with TCF??s textbook partners and review their content.
The incumbent will also be responsible for managing a team of curriculum developers by reviewing their work and resource development for TCF??s flagship and partnership schools. Additionally, the incumbent will contribute to projects involving the development and review of Urdu resources, such as TCF??s remediation program.
The incumbent will also be responsible for other projects related to academics working and school policy.
- Develop an Urdu language framework for K-8 including the determination of best resources for TCF schools, grade-wise progression and emphasis on language competencies
- Work closely with external partners in reviewing curricula and associated resources such as textbooks and teacher guides
- Manage a team of content developers in ensuring cohesion in the resource materials by reviewing work and offering feedback
- Research innovative modes of instructional delivery and pedagogical practices to transfer concepts to different types of learners
- Determine the Urdu syllabus for TCF schools on a frequent basis
- Develop Urdu assessments items
- Be responsible for yearly and on-going projects, annual school opening activities and school policy

Collaborate with multiple departments on a range of projects related to the development of curriculum, student learning outcomes, testing and similar activities

- Knowledge or experience of instructional approaches for languages
- Strong design thinking and attention to detail
- Strong command over Urdu linguistic concepts
- Strong communication skills in Urdu and English
- Ability to plan and organize activities within strict timelines

- Passion to stay current on educational content and teaching methods

Experience
For candidates with a bachelor??s degree: preferably 2-3 years in teaching, training or curriculum development or other education field
For candidates with a master??s degree in a related field, prior experience is not mandatory
