JOB PURPOSE

To manage and control complete production floor with process optimization, trouble shooting, manpower management and resource planning through process excellence using companyƒ??s defined protocols, focusing on equipment capability and people skill enhancement.


Responsibilities


PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ability to identify an opportunity assesses the situation, identify risks with cost factor and impact on efficiencies, develop and implement action plans to eliminate negative material usage negative variances technical understanding of high-speed manufacturing environment, controlling yields, losses and product quality defects. Knowledge of quality control standards and techniques. Well equipped with PI standards including IPS, Generic Quality System requirements, and AIB & FSSC 22000 standards.
  • Supervision of floor staff for effective working on one line at a time with 12 operators and 80 core workers/Labour are involved to run a PC 50. Planning and line scheduling to use up to 14 packaging twins on 1/2 banks and with multiple routing options for PC Flavours. Managing to deliver up to 20T of FG Product per shift passing through bar code scanning system to dispatch area per shift. Accurately compliance and analyse daily production line reports in a timely manner.
  • Implement company policies, programmers and regulatory requirements. Aware of local / municipal legislations and working familiarity with Pakistan Food Laws and Labour Laws.
  • Information Systems: Has the ability to document and track information and understand production systems, e.g. Schedules, Production Requirements. Ensures all shift data is completed and entered M&W database for shift wise monitoring of efficiencies, materials consumption and variances. Very strong ability to make right short-term decision without sacrificing long-term results. Critically review raw material variance with root cause analysis, give recommendations and ensure improvement by effective implementation of recommendations.
  • Safety Awareness: Ensure awareness to personal and otherƒ??s safety in area of responsibility. Responsible for safe working of all employees through adequate command over factory safety systems and processes conducting online trainings and creating conducive environment for personal & food safety through trainings & internal audits.
  • Successfully work with others in a Management role: Quality, Facilities, Engineering, Raw Materials Stores and Distribution, planning and oracle teams. Communication with RM & FG warehouse as well as planning and oracle department to resolve day to day issues. Interpersonal Effectiveness (Competencies) ƒ?? strong communication skills, builds relationships, team leadership and alignment, has respect for others, drive for results, analytical thinking. Team leader and strong people manager. Executed training of permanent staff as per schedule of training tracker. Takes appropriate, well-reasoned risks. Support process specialists in driving the Starfleet agenda the plant.
  • Ensure support for effective implementation of all Quality & food safety related requirement as per PepsiCo, AIBI, FSSC 22000 5S, TPM & IPS standards. Strengthen Kaizen & 5S Culture across Production & Packaging area and generate productivity through different Kaizen initiatives
  • Assess machinery and equipment for proper operation, participates in autonomous maintenance activities and play supporting role in timely execution of planned maintenance activities on machines.

  • Managing and mobilizing resources for flavour change within standard flavour through identify time. Information Systems: document and track information and understand production systems, e.g. Schedules, Production Requirements. Planning of production using different routing options, and packing capacities. Preparation of all production related reports and circulation to all required functions every month.
  • Support implementation of Starfleet agenda. Support process specialists in driving the Starfleet capability agenda at the plant. Encourages and coachesƒ?? people to build their skills through identification of their skills development needs.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and product safety in order to ensure compliance against AIBI, IPS, FSSC 22000 and CRP standards.
  • Ensure compliance of HSE rules and procedure as per PepsiCo safety policy
  • In addition to these accountabilities, any task/assignment/project assigned by Line Manager will become part of JD.


Qualifications


EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED


Knowledge/Skills:

  • Degree in either engineering or food science.
  • Minimum 5 years FMCG experience with 2 years supervisory role

The Front line Manager must possess a very high level of skills and have a clear set of personal attributes in the following areas:

Experience


:

  • 4-5 years desirable work experience in a Finished Good Ware House with FMCG and dispatches.
