About the role:
Accounting Specialist
In this role, you will be is responsible for identification, valuation, accounting, reporting of capital projects/CWIP and accounts payable management.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
?Ensure development and implementation of policies, systems and procedures to identify, record, value, depreciate, account and report on fixed assets and comply with Accounting Standards
?Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system
?Run depreciation for all fixed assets in system monthly.
?Conduct periodic physical counts of fixed assets and assign tag numbers to fixed assets.
?Maintain CWIP record of all stores/HO/Warehouses and thereafter capitalization as per policy
?Ensure recording of corresponding liability of regular procurement on daily basis related to Export projects
?Ensure timely delivery of all information in compliance of the investor agreement
Qualification: Master’s Degree preferably in Finance / ACCA
Experience: 2-5 years of experience in Accounts Management. Strong knowledge of Taxation Laws and Overall Regulatory Environment, International Accounting Standards, Banking Practices, Letter of Credit (LC) Processes, Import Laws and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
